HQO has Invested in Quality, Service and Reliable Supply to Ensure YOUR Integrity and Success Every Careful Step of the Way.
Your trust in our company is the most important ingredient in our line of products. We literally go the ends of the earth to earn it. Jerry Tenenberg, founder of the Great Spice Company, personally inspects the farms, products and facilities of our individual suppliers worldwide with regular visits throughout the year. We choose the best suppliers and take them through a comprehensive, reliable, quality control program. We demand the highest safety and purity standards for every product and guarantee those standards with complete traceability from the grower to YOU. Before any of our bulk 100% natural or organic spices, herbs and ingredients become a part of our inventory they first go through our Quality Assurance receiving process:
o All products are screened for foreign material, proper sizing, and metal detection.
o Physical properties:granulation, bulk density, volatile oil content, and moisture content.
o Organoleptic properties:aroma, color, taste, texture and particle size.
Samples from each lot are submitted to independent certified labs for analysis:
o Microbiological levels: Independent lab tests for Total Plate Count (TPC), Yeast, Mold, Coliform, Salmonella, and E.coli.
Introducing Bulk Spices, Herbs and Ingredients.

A unique set of standards above and beyond those in place for conventional herbs, spices and ingredients are applied to guarantee our products.
Currently the FDA has informally defined natural to mean that nothing artificial or synthetic has been included in or added to a food that would not normally be expected to be in the food. High Quality Organics has taken this definition to the next level to meet the consumer’s perception of all-natural products: 100% Natural is not consistently organic; Organic is always 100% natural.
Bulk Certified Organic Spices, Herbs and Ingredients
The term, “Organic” is strictly regulated by the US government. We have proudly earned certification for the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) through the certifying agent, Quality Assurance International (QAI). In order to achieve yearly certification, not only is our facility inspected, but all processing procedures are also inspected for compliance. Learn more about the Organic Advantage.
